User Guide and Care Instructions

Hearing protection devices from Custom Made Ear Protection are made for each individual for optimum hearing. It is important that you always wear them when you are in a noisy environment.

Your hearing protection devices will be supplied with user instructions and a carrying case, for safe storage when not in use.

How to insert

Your hearing protection devices (HPDs) are identified left and right, for each ear.

Take the HPD for the right ear and place the stem (the part that enters the ear canal) at the opening of the ear canal.

Tilt the top of the HPD forward, then insert the stem into the ear canal. Turn the HPD back into an upright position with a twisting motion, inward towards the ear canal. Now seat the top of the HPD under the fold of the ear.

If you have inserted the hearing protection device properly, it will fit comfortably and firmly in the ear.

Repeat the procedure for the left ear.

NOTE: If you have any problems, or the HPDs are in any way uncomfortable, contact Custom Made Ear Protection and we will make any adjustments necessary (free of charge).

How to remove

Start at the back of the ear and begin to twist the HPD out of the ear, then pull straight out. After removing your ear protectors several times, you will probably develop your own technique.

When to use

Always wear your HPDs in noisy areas. Noise induced hearing loss can go unnoticed until serious hearing difficulties arise in hearing and understanding speech, and at that point normal hearing cannot be restored. So please protect your hearing!

It’s easy! Just wash your HPDs regularly with mild hand soap and hot water, or wipe with rubbing alcohol. Rinse and thoroughly dry. Do NOT use harsh detergents or cleaning compounds. Store in the handy carrying case provided, and keep them clean and ready for use.
